Child Safety Standards

Last updated: March 26, 2026

Our commitment

TapHum has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. The safety of young people is something we take seriously, and we are committed to preventing our platform from being used to harm, exploit, or endanger children in any way.

How TapHum works

TapHum is a presence app. Users can only send a single tap to their connections. There is no text messaging, no image sharing, no video, no file transfers, and no public profiles. The app does not support any form of user-generated content. This design significantly limits the ability for harmful content to be created or shared on our platform.

Age restriction

TapHum is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to remove their account and delete their data.

Prevention measures

Because TapHum does not support text, images, video, or any other form of content sharing, the risk of CSAE material being distributed through our platform is effectively eliminated. Connections between users require a mutual invite and acceptance process, meaning both parties must actively agree to connect.

Reporting concerns

If you believe a child is being harmed or exploited, or if you have any child safety concerns related to TapHum, please contact us immediately at info@taphum.com. We will review all reports promptly and take appropriate action, including cooperating with law enforcement authorities when necessary.

You can also report child exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) at missingkids.org or by calling 1-800-843-5678.

Enforcement

Any account found to be involved in the exploitation or endangerment of a child will be immediately terminated. We will cooperate fully with law enforcement and report any known or suspected CSAE material to the appropriate authorities, including NCMEC, as required by law.
