TapHum collects the minimum data necessary to operate the service: your name, email address, and a device push notification token so we can deliver taphums to your phone. We also store records of taphums sent and received (sender, receiver, timestamp) to power the History feature.
Your data is used solely to operate TapHum. We deliver taphums between you and your connections, display your history, and send push notifications. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
TapHum uses Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and push notifications. Firebase is operated by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We also use Expo's push notification service to deliver notifications to your device.
Your data is stored securely in Firebase Cloud Firestore with access controlled by Firebase Authentication. We use industry-standard security practices, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Deleting your account removes your profile and connection data from our servers. You can also contact us to request a copy of your data or its deletion.
TapHum is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by email.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, email us at info@taphum.com.
